Heard first - its high notes trilling over a lonely plateau in Aegina, here is a stonechat perched on a gorse sentinel, swaying slightly in the breeze.

The descant call pealed out over the ancient cratered landscape. Nearby, centuries old olive trees stood, gnarled and formidable, by some estimates having seen out the years since the twelfth century.

Please note that there will be slight variations in the print and the paper - my printing is quite an organic process, and the cardboard plate flexes and deteriorates over time. The paper is hand made with the odd fleck and flaw.
